From the transparency of a woman's belly
“In this work, composed of only seven pieces, the artist made a very particular recreation of the process of gestation and motherhood. Against a generally monochromatic background, the very distinctive body of a woman is silhouetted, in which a rectangular polyester encapsulation is embedded, containing small texts and elements such as metallic papers, mother-of-pearl shell, small taxidermied animals, etc. The transparency of the encapsulation gives the impression of a kind of surrealist X-ray.”
